On the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of April, the Drone Show event took place in São Paulo, held by Mundo Geo. At this fair, other internal events were also held, such as Expo EVTOL, 2nd eVTOL Forum - Advanced Air Mobility and Innovative Aircraft.
Our team was present at the two-day forum, which featured talks from several people and companies that encompass the entire Air Mobility ecosystem, which aims to serve the eVTOL market, electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles. The panels included discussions and debates on topics such as: aircraft development and certifications, integration with cities, security and society, technological challenges, market opportunities, gains in scale and the construction of vertiports.
As it is an innovative market and a disruptive technology that will change mobility in cities, whether with passenger or cargo transport, and even for various applications such as medical, security, tourism or even air taxi, it is extremely It is important to have debates to generate connections between companies that encompass this market, such as manufacturers, concessionaires, airlines, regulators, public authorities and others, to have a scalable, accessible, sustainable and safe air mobility ecosystem.
What our team can conclude after the two days of the fair is that Brazil, due to its chaotic traffic, will be one of the main countries to use this mode. The forecast is that this ecosystem will begin operating in 2027. However, there are still some challenges for this to be possible, such as noise pollution, flight autonomy, recharging and standardization of batteries, certification of aircraft and pilots, air traffic control, operational safety, locations and regularization of vertiports.
All these topics are gradually gaining everyone's knowledge. We at Engeletrica have been working in the airport sector for over 30 years. Today we have a team dedicated to infrastructure projects and execution of Vertiports works, we are ready to act and make this mobility happen here in Brazil.
